Sword Art Online the Anime about Virtual Reality gaming based on “Full dive technology,” is now getting it’s own Virtual Reality game. The details of the game are still not revealed but we have some fair amount of information on the topic so lets see what it is…

Sword art Online The Beginning

IBM Japan has announced that they will be sponsoring this Virtual Reality game called “Sword Art Online – The Beginning.” So that fans and people can realize the virtual world of the popular Anime series.

The game will be playing by moving your body rather than controlling the character’s movements.¬†Reiki Kawahara the author and creator of the series calls it a completely different experience from any game so far.

Also the project or the game uses the next generation computing system which involves “Human decision making” and “SoftLayer – IBM’s high-performance cloud system” which produces the ambience of the real world. The computing system is known as “Cognitive system.” IBM is taking applications at their official website for “Alpha testing” until March 4. The Alpha testing session will be held between March 18-20 in Tokyo and total 208 applicants will be accepted.

UPDATE

The game will scan player’s body to create a 3D Avatar, with addition to motion control with the help of which you will control the character, which will let you feel the virtual world of the game

Synopsis

In the near future, a Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (VRMMORPG) called Sword Art Online has been released where players control their avatars with their bodies using a piece of technology called Nerve Gear. One day, players discover they cannot log out, as the game creator is holding them captive unless they reach the 100th floor of the game’s tower and defeat the final boss. However, if they die in the game, they die in real life. Their struggle for survival starts now…

Opinion

Now friends, if you have seen this Anime, there s a certain dialogue in the series which states that – “Dual Wielding skill is given to the person who has amazing reflexes and reaction time.”

So by controlling the game with the body movements and the reaction time will depend on the reflexes of the actual person itself thus this will make the game more realistic! So overall i liked the idea of controlling the game with body movements.

Although it’s still not cleared that the game will be released in English version and will be available to everyone or not but if it does then i really have to buy a VR console for myself and say good bye to the real world and link start to the Virtual world
