Jojo’s bizarre aventure diamond is unbreakable episode 3 review – Ok so last week, in the second episode of the Jojo’s bizarre adventure, Jouske and Jotaro dealt with Angelo whom we expected to be the villain of the series. But somewhere we had a feeling that Angelo for the antagonist of the series is pretty weak and he is not suited to be the antagonist of the series. So the end of the episode itself created a big question in front of us – If Angelo incident is done, then who will be the Antagonist?
We expected episode 3 to provide some hints on that, but in reality the episode 3 of the series provided more than just hint.
Jojo’s bizarre aventure diamond is unbreakable episode 3 review
One thing that always bothered me when i watched the previous series of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure which was Stardust chrono crusaders. That series, gave us the fact that Dio was awakened from his 100 year old sleep and that’s why the members from the Joestar family – Joseph, Holly and Jotaro awakened their stand abilities and this was because Dio borrowed Jonathan Joestar’s body when he died in ship accident, But if you’re just like me who have watched the entire series from the start, then you know that Jonathan and Dio both didn’t posses stand powers. So where did the stand powers came from? We dodge this issue with a baseless hypothesis which had no proof whatsoever but was the only possible answer to the question above.
Until i watched the episode 3 of diamond is unbreakable i believed this – Stand was born due to the combination of Hamon power stored inside Jonathan’s body and Dio’s Dracula power. Since stand powers are manifestation of spiritual force, some people are born with it, Since both Dio and Jonathan didn’t have the stand powers, it was possible to assume that Dio’s Dracula power and Jonathan’s Hamon power created a strong force which gave birth to stand – “The world.” The force was so strong that Joseph, Jotaro and Holly was affected by it and got their own stands, because they were genetically linked to Jonathan.
Now the third episode of Jojo’s bizarre adventure diamond is unbreakable gave a pretty detailed report on how Dio achieved stand powers and how it affected members of Joestar family. I will start explaining things with Stardust chrono crusaders, You remember the old lady witch in the series which used to be with Dio? Apparently that old lady had a bow and arrow with her and when people are shot with that arrow they either die or achieve stand powers. Dio who didn’t possess stand powers, he achieved them in the Stardust chrono crusaders because of that old lady witch who used to be with him. And since Dio borrowed Jonathan Joestar’s body which was genetically linked with Joestar family, their members Jotaro, Joseph and Holly achieved their own stand powers.
That old lady died and Jotaro defeated Dio, and them somebody else found the bow and arrow and now using it however he wants. Apparently Jotaro was aware of this whole thing and was investigating this incident. When Jouske and Jotaro defeated Angelo, In episode 3, Angelo revealed the fact that he was not a stand user from birth it was somebody who gave him the stand powers. When 2 years ago (according to timeline in Anime) his death sentence was confirmed, the guy who possess the bow and arrow came in Angelo’s prison at night and shot him with arrow because of which his stand powers were awakened. Angelo further confirmed that if i am defeated he will be the one to target you guys.
As Jotaro is worried because of Angelo’s words, next day he goes to meet Jouske at his home, where he meets Jouske’s mother for the first time and she mistook Jotaro for his grandfather Joseph. Jotaro says that he is not Joseph Joestar, he is in fact his grandson. He says he came to meet Jouske but as he is not at home he will come later and told her to hear rest of the details from Jouske. He tells her that he was sorry for what happened to her father and was not able to protect him. If his grandfather wanted he would have came in person and protected her from all the adversaries but unfortunately he is old and that’s why Jotaro came in his place to protect her.
As Jotaro leaves during that time Jouske and his friend is attacked by the man who possess the bow and arrow. Jouske manages to defeat his ally in a fierce battle, but in the meantime Jouske’s friend is shot by the bow and arrow, Since he didn’t possess the talent to handle the stand powers as a result his powers were not awakened and he was fatally injured and was on the brink of death. Jouske goes to heal his wounds but before that he has to confront the man with bow and arrow and that’s where the episode ends.
Although the third episode of the series revealed some awesome things which could just lead us to the origins of stand powers and we also got the new antagonist but, it still doesn’t change the fact that he is weak, or more like i can’t say he is weak or strong. Well Angelo was weakest antagonist in entire Jojo’s series. But the new antagonist which was revealed in the episode 3 well, definitely he is cunning and sharp but he doesn’t look that strong. I know i can’t criticise him based on his appearance and looks but to be honest he doesn’t give any strong vibes that Dio and Stantana gave. If he turned out to be the strongest antagonist of the series then the quality of the series will increase by leaps and bounds.
The third episode of diamond is unbreakable was all about some shocking revelations which also filled the plot holes of the previous series Stardust chrono crusaders. The stand powers their origin is itself covered in mystery. At first we were puzzled with the question, that where this stand powers came from because none of the members from Joestar family and even Dio itself possessed the stand powers. While episode 3 answered that question and filled the plot holes of the previous series at the same time it also made us curious about the true origins of the stand powers. Now the big question is where did that bow and arrow which awakened the stand powers in Dio came from? and who is the antagonist? and why do he possess that bow and arrow?
Jojo’s bizarre adventure diamond is unbreakable episode 3 was one of the most surprising episode of this new series which had some serious twist. The previous 2 episodes despite being awesome it still doesn’t change the fact that weak antagonist was killing the quality, now that since we got the new antagonist we can say that from here onwards the shit is going to real.
