Fullmetal Alchemist Live Action Film – Things we know

Fullmetal Alchemist Live Action Film – So its been finally confirmed that one of the people’s most favourite Anime/Manga Fullmetal Alchemist is getting a live action film and is slated for Winter 2017! Warner Bros officially announced the details regarding this news on Tuesday and so in this article we will be covering what we know so far..

Edward Elric, a young, brilliant alchemist, has lost much in his twelve-year life: when he and his brother Alphonse try to resurrect their dead mother through the forbidden act of human transmutation, Edward loses his brother as well as two of his limbs. With his supreme alchemy skills, Edward binds Alphonse’s soul to a large suit of armor.

A year later, Edward, now promoted to the fullmetal alchemist of the state, embarks on a journey with his younger brother to obtain the Philosopher’s Stone. The fabled mythical object is rumored to be capable of amplifying an alchemist’s abilities by leaps and bounds, thus allowing them to override the fundamental law of alchemy: to gain something, an alchemist must sacrifice something of equal value. Edward hopes to draw into the military’s resources to find the fabled stone and restore his and Alphonse’s bodies to normal. However, the Elric brothers soon discover that there is more to the legendary stone than meets the eye, as they are led to the epicenter of a far darker battle than they could have ever imagined.

One of the great news that we have got or you can say a word of assurance from the director of the Fullmetal Alchemist Live Action Film itself that he want to follow the original script of the Manga. This is what Sori Fumihiko said in an interview :-

“I want to create a style that follows the original manga as much as possible. The cast is entirely Japanese, but the cultural background is Europe. However, it’s a style that doesn’t represent a specific race or country.”

Sori also said that he won’t reveal how Alphonse Elric will be presented in the movie but first and foremost his confident that the fans will like the character and will be satisfied by it. The Fullmetal Alchmist Live Action Film will be adapted from the Manga written by “Arakawa” who first published the Manga in the year 2001 in Square Enix’s Monthly Shounen Gangan till the year 2010. The Manga has inspired two Anime series first is Fullmetal Alchemist which follows half of the original story line from the Manga and then moves forward with its own story, which is kinda like Akame ga kill Anime series. You can say that Akame ga Kill adapted the method from Fullmetal Alchemist Anime Series and the second series of the Anime “Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood,” which follows the original storyline of the Manga till the end.
