Strike the blood – The 51st volume of Kodakawa’s dengeki bunko magazine revealed on Tuesday that Strike the blood Anime would be getting new OVA adaptation (Original Video Anime) based on the 9th volume of Strike the blood light novel written by Mikumo Gakuto.
Kojou Akatsuki’s days as an ordinary high school student in the Demon District of Itogami Island come to an abrupt end after a fateful encounter leaves him with the remarkable abilities of a vampire.
It isn’t long before he is thrust into the center of attention when it is discovered that he is the fourth primogenitor, an immensely powerful vampire whom most consider to be merely a legend. Fearing Kojou’s destructive potential, the Lion King Organization sends in an apprentice sword-shaman, Yukina Himeragi, to monitor, and should he become a threat, kill the boy deemed the world’s most powerful vampire. Forced together by circumstance, the two form an unlikely alliance as Kojou comes to terms with his abilities and they both struggle to protect the city from various emerging chaotic forces.

Strike the blood OVA Series
The Strike the Blood OVA series will have four two-episodes volumes, with the first volume slated for DVD and Blu Ray discs release on November 23. The OVA Series will start depicting the story of 9th volume, which takes place at Elysium, a resort facility at Itogami Island.
The second volume is slated for December 21st, The third volume is slated for March 29th and fourth volume is slated for April 26th. Them first volume’s home video release will contain Booklet containing annotations, an original story by Mikumo, and a manga. It will also contain credit-less opening and ending too.
The magazine has some draft character designs of new characters and their names – Kisaki Kiriha and Eguchi Yume, these two characters appear in the 9th volume of light novel, which was published by Kodakawa in the month of October in 2013.
Strike the blood light novel has earlier inspired a television anime series consisting of 24 episodes in 2013 and after that a two episode OVA Series.
