Naruto Shippuden Episode 474 – So, i will have to admit that this week’s Naruto Shippuden Episode 474 was one of the best Naruto shippuden episode in the last 2 years and i enjoyed it thoroughly. Everything about it was beautifully executed. The art and animation, the emotions and feels, everyone’s conversation etc. Hands down! one of the best episode for sure!!
Naruto Shippuden Episode 474 Review
In this week’s episode “Otsutsuki Kaguya” finally got sealed with “Chibaku Tensei,” On Tuesday i published an article covering my final thoughts on the series we watched so far which tells my opinion on – “What producers and directors should have done to make the series better.” But ultimately, it all comes to audience from Japan, they liked the series so far and that’s what it matters.
Coming back to the topic, when i mentioned that this was the best episode of Naruto shippuden in the last 2 years i was serious and i am serious even now. When i heard that the series is finally entering the final arc, i was being cautious since i thought that we would get more fillers after few weeks of canon episode but now its not like that.
Now i think that we’re finally getting to the end of the series and the credit making me think like this all goes to the preview of the episode that comes at the end of Naruto shippuden episode 474. Which shows the beginning of the final battle between Naruto and Sasuke at final valley.
Considering of how smoothly this episode was executed with a very little amount of flashback 30-40 secs maybe and covered most of the chapter’s content i feel the future episodes of featuring the final fight will be animated similarly and the preview for the next episode proves my point.
Now coming back to the episode 474, as i mentioned we finally saw the moment Kaguya getting sealed once again with “Chibaku Tensei” and tailed beast also got free. Naruto noticed Black Zetsu guiding Kaguya time to time and so he separated them during their battle with Kaguya. And now when she was getting sealed Naruto decided to throw Black Zetsu in the “Chibaku Tensei.” At that time what Naruto said to Zetsu and the way he threw him and the way Zetsu got sealed that entire moment/scene was one of the most satisfying scene i have ever watched.
- Naruto : I noticed you were hiding besides Kaguya and guiding her, You don’t wanna leave your mother’s side right?
- Zetsu : You’re only a part of the shinobi history i have created so far! A brat like you wouldn’t know anything!
- Naruto : Shinobi’s history is created by the death of countless Ninja’s and their way of living, A brat who can’t leave his mother’s side has no right to talk anything about it!
*Naruto swings and throws his body into Chibaku Tensei*
Seriously the most satisfying moment in the entire Naruto History. Then the sage of six paths summons them to the real world from the other dimension that Kaguya created. Since Sage of six paths is just a mass of chakra and he did lend some of his chakra to Naruto and Sasuke summoning the tailed beast along with Kakashi, Sakura and Sasuke to the real world from another dimension was virtually impossible for him alone that’s why he summons the Gokage from all the generations and uses their chakra to summon them back!
This episode was more like a farewell episode because sage summoned the “Gokages” from the past to summon back Naruto and others and now he was going to send them back which was an indicator that “Hey you’re going to see them for one last time! so you should say your goodbyes!”
And finally Obito leaves once and for all, well he did admit that don’t have farewell words after he screwed up the shinobi world so badly. At that time i was like “Thanks obito for screwing up, because of you Naruto had some worthy story to support his background.” Jokes aside, now that obito was back to his old self i would have loved to see him playing some more important role but some people should just end their journey when their time arrives and this time it was same for Obito.
Kakashi was more realistic with his farewell comment, “Saying goodbye to old you is best after all.” With this kakshi also looses his sharingan ability and this marks the end of “Kakashi of Sharingan.” Now that Kakashi has lost sharingan i wonder how strong he really is? Since Chidori is a technique he was only able to do it because of his sharingan and now that he has lost that i wonder if he is still able to use it.
And now finally comes the most emotional and heartbreaking part of the episode. Minato’s final conversation with Naruto for one last time. Producers and directors of Naruto are sure fixated on making its viewers cry whenever when it comes to Minato and Kushina. I did cried a lot when Naruto met Minato for the first time in chakra form and then i cried when he met Kushina in chakra form. I cried when i saw Minato’s and Kushina’s past, I cried during the movie “Road to Ninja” and now i cried watching “Naruto Shippuden Episode 474 – Minato’s final conversation with Naruto.”
So much feels man literally my world was spinning! Even my mom got worried over me crying so much on that scene, once again i seriously wished this time that Minato and Kushina to comeback forever. It was the same thing with Jiraya, Itachi, Neji and Asuma these are some of the characters that i seriously wished should not have died. But when it comes to Minato and Kushina, i have some special attachment for these two and episode 474 exploited all my feeling in just one final conversation of Minato and Naruto.
The final conversation between Madara and Hashirama was good too, Madara was like – Your dream prevails and my dream is dead. Hashirama where did i screwed up? and Hashirama was like, You rushed too much. It would have been better if you would have showed some trust and entrusted the future of shinobi to the next generation. But now since we are both dying we should atleast die as war buddies. I think Madara realized when he was getting absorbed by kaguya’s chakra that he was wrong all the time and maybe Hashirama was right all the time that’s why he accepted his mistake while he was dying.
The whole episode was good, although it covered a lot of content but it didn’t looked like the episode was rushed even for a bit. Had a perfect spacing and everyone got enough screen time to say their farewells. Now all we have to wait is for the end of the final fight between Naruto and Sasuke and then we are done with Naruto once and for all!
Wait we do have Hinata’s and Naruto’s wedding at the end so i am really looking forward to it!
